Union Pacific President Beth Whited to speak at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ commencement
OMAHA, Neb. – Union Pacific President Beth Whited is the keynote speaker at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s (CSM) commencement ceremony May 17.ÌýÌý
Spring commencement is at 3 p.m. May 17 in the Lied Fitness Center Fieldhouse. CSM will graduate 129Ìýstudents, including 30Ìýdoctoral degrees, 11 master’s degrees and 88Ìýbachelor’s degrees.ÌýÌý
Whited is the first female president in the history of Union Pacific. Over the past 35 years, she has had many roles at Union Pacific, including in strategy, marketing and sales, sustainability, finance, investor relations and workforce resources.Ìý
Because of her industry-leading efforts, Whited received the League of Railway Women and Progressive Railroading 2021 Railway Woman of the Year award. She was also named to Constellation Research’s ESG 50 list, which recognizes the world’s most influential executives across different industries.Ìý
A Baccalaureate Mass will be at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel in Walsh Hall prior to the ceremony.Ìý
