CSM names Ashley Bails as vice president of marketing and communications

Bringing nearly two decades of experience in marketing and strategic leadership, Bails began her duties at CSM in February.听听

In her new role, Bails plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the College鈥檚 brand, marketing initiatives and communications.听听
Bails comes to CSM from Ervin & Smith, an Omaha-based marketing agency, where she spent the past 11 years, most recently serving as chief operating officer. In this role, she led the agency鈥檚 media, creative and client services teams, developing high-impact brand strategies, paid media and digital marketing campaigns for clients across various industries.听听
Before Ervin & Smith, Bails built a strong foundation in higher education marketing, holding key positions at Nebraska Methodist College, the University of Nebraska Omaha and Wichita State University. Her passion for education and student success makes her a natural fit for CSM鈥檚 mission.听听
A former student-athlete at Iowa State University, Ashley earned her undergraduate degree while playing for the Cyclone softball team. She later obtained a master鈥檚 in education in sports management from Wichita State University. Born and raised in Omaha, Bails now resides in Papillion with her husband, Joel, and their three children.听
