º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Awards 124 Degrees to Spring Graduates
OMAHA, Neb. – º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ (CSM) presented degrees to 124 students during two spring commencement ceremonies May 14-15.
These graduates participated in the first spring commencement held on campus in nearly 40 years. The ceremony was held in the new Lied Fitness Center Fieldhouse. A graduate ceremony for master’s and doctoral students was held on May 14, while an undergraduate ceremony was May 15.
The commencement address was delivered by Stephanie Clary, the environment editor at Earth Beat, a project of the National Catholic Reporter that publishes stories about climate crisis, faith and action.
CSM President Dr. Maryanne Stevens, RSM, presented the degrees to the graduates.
The Spirit of Saint Mary Award recipient, the highest achievement bestowed on a CSM graduate, was Grace Blum. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in elementary education and special education.
Other graduation activities included a Baccalaureate Mass, dinner reception, a Practical Nursing Certificate Ceremony, and an Honors Ceremony.

Graduation Undergraduate Honors
Graduation with honors is based on the undergraduate student's quality point average for º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ courses only. To be eligible for honors, the student must complete at least 65 semester hours of CSM courses at the bachelor's degree level or 37 semester hours at the associate's degree level.

Summa cum laude: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.9
Magna cum laude: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.7
Cum laude: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.5
For Associate's Degrees
With highest honors: a student must obtain a quality point average of at least 3.9
