鈥淲e鈥檙e extremely excited to welcome Lissa to our campus, and we鈥檙e looking forward to hearing about her personal journey in theater and how she鈥檚 worked her way up the ladder in the competitive arena that is performing arts,鈥 says Sarah Klocke, director of theatre and communications at CSM. 鈥淐SM is continuously striving to provide our students and community with memorable experiences in the arts, and this is just another step towards that goal.鈥

When deGuzman began playing the role of Jasmine back in August of last year, she expressed her excitement in an Instagram post, 鈥淚 am still overwhelmed with excitement to step into the shoes of such a strong, curious, independent, smart woman who stands up for what鈥檚 in her heart.鈥

The hit Broadway musical will play a two-week engagement at Omaha鈥檚 Orpheum Theater from Jan. 16-27. Tickets can be purchased through the Omaha Performing Arts website.

deGuzman made her tour debut with Aladdin and has previously been seen on stage in regional productions of West Side Story at Studio Tenn, Fiddler on the Roof at The MUNY and Chasing Rainbows at Goodspeed Opera House.
