OMAHA, Neb. 鈥� 含羞草视频 (CSM) is proud to announce that Jackie Wilson has been named the University鈥檚 new dean of students and Title IX coordinator. She began her duties July 15.

As dean of students, Wilson will be responsible for the direction of student development, retention, success and community life at CSM.

鈥淲e are thrilled to welcome Jackie to 含羞草视频,鈥� said Kimberly Allen, PhD, vice president of academic and student affairs. 鈥淗er extensive experience in student affairs, coupled with her unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive environments, makes her an exceptional addition to our community. We are confident that under her leadership, our students will continue to thrive both academically and personally.鈥�

Wilson comes to CSM from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa, where she was the associate vice president for student affairs and the dean of students. Prior to that, she held a variety of roles in student affairs, including dean of students and campus life at the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau, Alaska; associate dean of students for health and well-being at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.; assistant director of residential life at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County in Baltimore; and assistant director of residential life at Earlham College in Richmond, Ind.

鈥淚 can鈥檛 wait to meet all the students at CSM,鈥� Wilson said. 鈥淲e are capitalizing on the undergraduate experience. Whether it is in the classroom, on the field or courts, in the lab or engaging in the vibrant college and Omaha community, women are fine-tuning their leadership. Students are finding their friends and having fun making connections that will last a lifetime.鈥�

Wilson has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in English from Earlham College and a master鈥檚 degree in higher education administration and policy analysis from Standford University.
